We're introducing Creative Mending Workshops, both online and in person. These workshops serve as engaging team-building activities, allowing staff members to acquire new skills in mending, altering, and revamping clothes.

By empowering your team to mend and refresh their wardrobe, you're not only fostering a sense of creativity and camaraderie but also contributing to reducing the environmental footprint of clothing consumption.

Did you know that in the UK, more than two tonnes of clothing are purchased every minute? Shockingly, the recycling rate for all textiles is only around 15%, with merely 1% of garments being recycled back into clothing. Your organisation has the power to make a significant impact by equipping your staff with the skills to mend and repair their textile goods.

Let's work together to create a more sustainable future, one stitch at a time. (Fixing fashion: clothing consumption and sustainability by the UK goverment)

This workshop will help your organisation’s Corporate Social Responsibility, empower your staff with a new skillset, and will help to tackle any eco-anxiety they may be experiencing.

workshop specification

We recommend a minimum of 1.5 hours for our in-person or online Creative Mending workshops, and we can facilitate groups between 4-15 people per session. If you have 15+ staff members interested in our workshops we can offer multiple sessions over 1-2 days, depending on your preference.

We can also customise the workshop to suit your needs, including multiple session courses. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any specific request, we would be happy to discuss different possibilities with you and develop a workshop that is tailored to your organisation.

In addition to the workshop, we can provide personal Mending Kits for your staff, which can be delivered by post in case of online workshops.

The basic workshop includes:

 Introduction to ethical and sustainable fashion, and a discussion about the environment impact of the textile industry with the aim to educate and motivate staff to take action to tackle textile waste, plastic pollution and climate change.

 Live demonstration of different repair techniques and tools, including visible and invisible mending.

 Time to practice.

 Final discussion and advice on how to look after their own clothes.

 A follow-up email with useful tutorials and suggestions on how to continue their journey towards a sustainable wardrobe.

If you have any questions or you want to book a session, please feel free to contact Monika Fejes, our Operations Manager at: monika@remodecollective.com

We would be happy to organise an introductory Zoom meeting and answer any questions or queries you may have. We can chat about the best way to deliver a customised course for you.
