All our products are handmade using re-purposed fabric cut offs from a local interior design company. The upholstery fabrics used to make the products are very high quality and hard wearing, making them the perfect material for handbags and other accessories.
Each item is uniquely-made and each design element is personally selected to create the perfect combination of colours, style and texture of fabric.

Monika Bag
Your flexible tote
The inspiration for this design was simple: quite often handbags are either too small or too big. If you need to carry a lot of stuff the bag becomes really uncomfortable to hold and if you have just a few things in it, the bag hangs shapelessly.
The Monika bag is designed to be flexible and change dimensions easily by opening and closing the side panels. A very practical handbag that doesn’t give up on style!

This bag was inspired by the Kete Harakeke flax basket. The ‘kete’ is known as a container of knowledge and wisdom, a container through which knowledge is shared.
We were inspired by this ancient symbolism to design a bag that celebrates hundreds of years of textile and weaving knowledge. The high quality upholstery materials re-purposed for the production of this item has a story, the same way this bag will acquire your life stories while accompanying you throughout your day. We added 2 main pockets at the front and back to make sure everything is within easy reach and the zipped main compartment can safely store your more important items. We designed her to be worn in different ways to adapt to your needs (on your shoulders, across the body, around your waist).
